Once You Get A Ticket

When you receive a traffic ticket, by law, you are required to sign where the following is clearly printed on the ticket: “WITHOUT ADMITTING GUILT, I PROMISE TO APPEAR AT THE TIME AND PLACE INDICATED BELOW.” If you refuse to sign, you will be arrested and taken in custody. Once you sign, you can resolve the ticket in one (1) of four (4) ways….

4 COMMON TICKET RESOLUTIONS

This option is the worst choice. The court will charge you with a Failure To Appear (FTA),which can be a misdemeanor in some cases. In addition, there will be civil assessment penalties–up to hundreds of dollars–added to the fine of your ticket. The court will also send a notice to the Department of Motor Vehicle (DMV) resulting in a “hold” on your license.

This option is the second worst choice. By simply paying the fine, you will be assessed one (1) “point” on your DMV record. This point will severely affect your automobile insurance premium. The insurance company would raise your premium because of the point that has been added.

This option is the most common choice. By paying the fine and requesting traffic school, you are deciding not to contest your ticket. Once the fine is paid and traffic school is completed, your ticket will be “dismissed.” The first disadvantage of this option is that although you get the desired result, it is going to cost you lots of money, time and effort. In most cases, our fee is lower than that of the fine. Another disadvantage when choosing this option is that if you were to get another ticket within 18 months from the date of first ticket, you would be ineligible for traffic school for the second ticket.

This choice is rarely exercised. With this choice, you decide to contest your ticket in court with the intention to get it dismissed. You would spend hours waiting in courtrooms and still possibly lose the case. You could also can retain an attorney or a law firm to represent you. With Traffic Ticket Fixers, experienced traffic attorneys from our office will represent you in court to contest your ticket for you. In most cases, you will not need to appear at all. Our goal is to get your ticket dismissed for you. Once your ticket is dismissed: you will not pay any fines to the court; you will not have any points in DMV; you will not need to complete traffic school; most importantly, your auto insurance premium will not increase.
